On Sunday, January 26, 2020, two PARMA projects stood proudly among the music and artists nominated for the 62nd annual GRAMMY Awards: THE ARC IN THE SKY by The Crossing, Donald Nally, and composer Kile Smith (Navona Records), up for Best Choral Album; and Something’s Happening! A Christmas Album by CeCe Winans and featuring the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra (PureSpring Gospel), up for Best Gospel Album.

We want to congratulate GRAMMY winners Kirk Franklin, Robert Simpson and the Houston Chamber Choir, and all who were nominated and recognized at the 2020 GRAMMY Awards.

This past year, the Recording Academy established the social media-based Behind the Record initiative, intended to “[bring] the names of the producers, mixers, engineers, songwriters, composers, and other collaborators who work behind the record to the front.” That gesture highlighted what many of us already know so well: great art is almost never made in isolation.

Our team is proud to have collaborated on two excellent albums with The Crossing, composer Kile Smith, Ms. Winans and her team, the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the producers and engineers for both albums, and everyone who worked in front of and behind the scenes. These projects could not have become what they are without the help of each person involved.

Onward!
