PARMA is pleased to present a new Featured Recording Opportunity in collaboration with Tippet Rise Art Center and internationally acclaimed pianist Anna Kislitsyna. Composers are invited to submit solo piano works for consideration to be recorded as part of a visual album produced at Montana’s world-renowned Tippet Rise.

Selected works will be performed by Kislitsyna and captured in high-definition audio and video at the Olivier Music Barn, a timber-lined performance space celebrated for its acoustic intimacy, architectural design, and environmental sustainability. Modeled after Haydn’s Esterházy Music Room, with acoustics developed by Arup and a panoramic window overlooking the Beartooth Mountains, the Barn provides an extraordinary space where beautiful sound and setting converge.

Set on 12,000 acres of Montana ranchland, Tippet Rise is described by The Independent as “an enlightened compound where serious music and art and a vast stretch of nature meet blissfully.”

This opportunity continues PARMA’s longstanding partnership with Kislitsyna, whose artistry has been featured on numerous albums from Navona Records spanning contemporary solo piano, chamber, and orchestral repertoire. Known for her technical brilliance and expressive depth, Kislitsyna has become a trusted collaborator for composers worldwide, bringing new music to life with passion and precision.

Kislitsyna is a pianist and harpsichordist rooted in the Russian tradition, who debuted with the Omsk Symphony Orchestra at the age of 10. Her global career includes performances at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Kimmel Center, Moscow Conservatory, and Paris’ Cortot Hall.

She balances her performance career with significant recording work; recent efforts include a contemporary piano-and-orchestra album with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra on Navona Records along with solo and chamber music releases.

PIECES FROM A DISTANT LAND
Peter Dickson Lopez, Anna Kislitsyna

Peter Dickson Lopez’s PIECES FROM A DISTANT LAND is a touching solo piano memoriam to his late mother, who had once requested piano pieces for herself to play at church. Lopez channels the “Distant Land” of tonal music familiar to his childhood self and compositional roots, while still honoring the special and often haunting sound so intimate to his musical oeuvre.

The touching and emotionally prolific piece is given a loving performance by Kislitsyna.

PIANO SPECTRUMS
Anna Kislitsyna

Kislitsyna stuns on PIANO SPECTRUMS, a profoundly emotive selection of aesthetic contemporary pieces – and a world-class interpretation ranging from tender filigree to unbridled, seething virtuosity. The pianist scintillates with her wonderful, singing touch and musical sensitivity, effortlessly unifying ten unique voices into an album that is greater than the sum of its parts.
